Hi, my name is Mimma Scardino, I am been working in translation industry since 2007, and I offer my knowledge and expertise in legal and IT fields to help customers and enterprises looking for cooperation with a reliable and careful Italian language professional.

I aim at making communication easy between Italian– and English-, French-, and Japanese-speaking audience, as well as at supporting customers’ growth in the Italian market.
In every task I am assigned, I take care of linguistic matters, of course, but I work also to manage seamlessly all steps of translation/editing workflow, from first evaluation to pre- and post-delivery checks.

In 2006, I got my Master’s degree in Translation Studies at University La Sapienza of Rome. Some years later, I completed my vocational training courses in Business & Legal Translation (2009) and Localization (2010) at Agenzia formativa tuttoEUROPA, Turin (Italy).

In 2010, I attended a Japanese course at Ishikawa Foundation for International Exchange, Kanazawa (Japan), to improve my proficiency in this language.

I am committed to life-long learning and attend regularly courses, workshops and presentations in order to be informed on latest industry trends and enhance my expertise.

Last but not least, since 2016 I am an associate member of AITI, the Italian Association of Translators and Interpreters.

I love trying out new recipes, reading children books, watching cartoons, drawing and puzzle solving. I love gardening too, but it is not my forte. And I love my work so much, as it allows me to learn something new every day.
